![]() ![]() THE NON-EXISTENCE OF GOD
![]() Isn't everybody familiar with Anselm's ontological proof of the existence of God? I've always had a problem with it. Anselm's proof hinges on the belief that that which exists is more perfect than that which exists soley in the mind. I beg to differ. Think of it as Morris v. Anselm. 1. God is perfect. 2. Existence is an imperfection. (This is taken from the obvious principle: Better to not exist than to exist.) 3. therefore, God does not exist. |
